Sathguru Management Consultants Pvt Ltd, established in 1985, is a niche consulting firm that focuses on life sciences consulting including agriculture and agribusiness, health care (animal and human health), education and international development. Sathguru, over the years, has developed a leadership position in South Asia with a unique combination of technical skills and management expertise. Sathguru has offices in Hyderabad, New Delhi, Dhaka and Boston.

Sathguru co-manages the AIP project along with Cornell University. Sathguru engages with all the stake holders in India and connects them with the partners in the US. Apart from interventions in these areas, Sathguru also reviews successful agricultural extension models, launches training programs for extension specialists and resource-constrained farmers and agriculturists, builds capacity among Indian faculty members for establishing centers for agricultural extension education, shares knowledge on AIP among the stakeholders, develops innovative training models, facilitates faculty exchanges and visits among Indian and US universities, conducts workshops to disseminate knowledge and promotes entrepreneurship among the Indian farmers.


Tata Chemicals Limited (TCL), a part of Tata Group, is one of the largest chemical companies in India with significant operations in Africa and India.
TCL has interests in businesses that focus on LIFE: Living, Industry and Farm Essentials. TCL is the world’s second largest producer of soda ash with manufacturing facilities in Asia, Europe, Africa and North America.

In the AIP project, TCL will help to leverage significant resources to reach several thousands of farmers currently engaged in sustainable agriculture. TCL has a presence in Eastern Uttar Pradesh (UP) and Bihar with the Tata Kisan Sansars (TKS) network of 34 hubs and 673 outlets in the states of Punjab, Haryana, UP, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Jharkhand & West Bengal. TKS has over 400 agricultural extension workers directly engaged with the rural communities with a strong focus on improving knowledge skills of women who own small farms that of less than one hectare. TKS, that has been working with Sathguru for over five years now, will support AIP in capacity building activities, conducting training programs for farmers and agriculturists and promote entrepreneurship among farmers. TCL will also advise AIP management on rapid implementation of the project.
